Risk Assessment

We shall be filming near Leybourne Lakes which means that we must take into account the amount of space we require to film. We must ensure that we are far enough away from the lake in order to prevent any chance of either the actors or the filmmakers falling into this lake. During our shoot we will ensure that the camera equipment is accompanied by a sturdy tripod which will help prevent the risk of the camera slipping on the uneven land.

Secondly, when we are filming in an external location we must ensure that we use a lens hood and take an umbrella with us, the reasoning for this is so that the camera doesn't become exposed to rain or any damp conditions that may be caused by the forest. Another point that is worth noting, when we film the shot of the dirt being thrown onto the camera, we must cover the camera entirely using cling film so that it doesn't get dirty or damaged with the tiny pieces of mud landing on the lens.

Thirdly, when we are filming the shot of the mug being smashed, we need to ensure that whoever's there during the filming process needs to stand well away from the location that the mug is being smashed. The reason for this is so that when the mug smashes, we are able to stay a safe distance away from the zone in order to prevent the chances of the camera men being hit with shards of china. Alongside this, we must ensure that the broken mug is cleaned up after it has been smashed so that none of us have the chance of damaging ourselves with the broken china on the floor.
